Triangle Man
Oakland, California, United States
Description: Triangle Man moved to the Bay Area in 2013 to push his fascination with rave culture to new heights. The vibrant culture of house music in San Francisco inspired him to launch a new production company called Sub Society with a close friend Danis. Together they hosted events in various clubs in the Bay Area and created a vibrant underground scene.
Bio: Triangle Man (Joshua Lee) began his journey with music in 1998 in Eugene OR learning how to DJ from his older brother Garrett the Ambient Chef. They had set up the garage into a Dj lounge and hang out, which became known as Space Time Forgot. Frequent gathers in the garage spawned a whole generation of DJs in the local community. His musical tastes have evolved over the years. Making frequent trips back to Chicago to visit his father he became captivated by the soulful sound of Chicago House. He later became inspired by the Speed Garage sounds coming out of the UK and then took a deep dive into UKG, 2-step, UK Funky and Dnb. Triangle Man maintains a cross genre approach to this day and frequently brings 3-4 genres together in his sets to take listeners on a diverse exploration through sound and tempo.
