Maple City Music
Saint Albans, Vermont, United States
Description: Maple City Music is a veteran-owned independent record store based in Vermont, dedicated to preserving music culture through physical media. What began as a passion for collecting has grown into an ongoing effort to connect listeners, collectors, and historians with the recordings that shaped generations of music. Our inventory spans vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, and other collectible media, with a focus on accurate grading, fair pricing, and careful preparation. Every item is inspected, cleaned, and represented as honestly as possible because preserving trust is just as important as preserving music. While our roots are firmly planted in Vermont, our interests extend far beyond any single genre or scene. We actively collect and document classic rock, punk, hardcore, jazz, blues, folk, country, hip-hop, independent releases, regional recordings, and electronic music. We have a particular appreciation for overlooked artists, local scenes, private press releases, and recordings that might otherwise be lost to history. As supporters of music preservation efforts, we believe physical media remains one of the most important ways to document cultural history. Records, CDs, tapes, flyers, promotional materials, and independent releases often tell stories that never make it into mainstream archives. Preserving those stories matters. Our involvement with the Rave Preservation Project reflects that belief. Electronic music and rave culture have had a profound influence on modern music, yet much of that history remains scattered among private collections and forgotten releases. We are excited to contribute to preserving that legacy and will continue to expand our catalog of electronic music, DJ-focused releases, underground dance music, and related collectible media. Whether you're searching for a common favorite, a regional rarity, an underground release, or a piece of dance music history, Maple City Music is committed to helping preserve the recordings, artists, and scenes that continue to inspire music fans around the world. Local Roots. Global Sound.
